About Bakels China
Bakels China first opened for business in Shanghai, 1997. In 2017, production moved to the North-eastern city of Dalian and the modern Bakels Shanghai Baking Centre opened in Shanghai’s Pudong district in 2019. Bakels China prides itself on developing products tailored for the local market and providing quality sales and application support across Mainland China.

Dalian Production Base
2016 saw Bakels open a new factory in the North-eastern city of Dalian. Capable of producing 16,000 tonnes of product a year, its modern wet plant is designed to produce cake gels, glazes, fillings and release agents. The powder blending plant can produce a variety of powder products including cake mixes, bread mixes, confectionery blends and technical ingredients.
Shanghai Baking Centre
Located in the heart of Shanghai’s Pudong District, The Bakels Shanghai Baking Centre opened its doors in 2019. It was designed with the aims of training, application development and the customer experience. The facility features a baking centre large enough to train twenty people, a customer reception area, offices, meeting room and rooftop terrace.
The Highest Levels of Food Safety
Bakels Dalian is accredited with the GFSI approved FSSC22,000 and ISO22,000 food safety licenses in addition to compliance with all local regulations. Products are quality tested in on-site physical, chemical and microbiology labs, while group procurement ensures the importing of reliable raw materials.
The Bakels China sales and application team provides nationwide support across the whole of Mainland China. From learning about the Bakels product range, to providing in bakery training, customers are supported from start to finish.
